A little more back-story about The Everywhere's. Really sad back-story on The Everywhere's. Sorry we only write sad childrens!
Thanks so so much for all your sweet comments, guys! We're so glad you guys like Doc Voltage (aka Awinita Rivers-Nita for short!). We're always nervous when we start bringing in the newer characters so we're super relieved you guys seem to like her since she's not going anywhere, bwaha!
I wonder how much of this I got right...
More likely her child. the article says that she was a certain M. Morris (I couldn't make out her first name >_<), a college professor, and that "her eleven your old son, and her husband Bradley Thorne" were kidnapped.
*ENTERING WILD MASS GUESSING MODE*
My guess is that Bradley had married Morris, who was single for whatever reason, and probably Simon's mother, with or without her knowing about his alias. This Ted Rosenfield guy found out about Bradley's alias somehow and kidnapped Simon and Morris for whatever reason. My guess is that the rescue attempt resulted in the the explosion that caused the death of Morris and most likely Bradley's powers being copied to Simon - the side effects of which most likely caused Simon's hair and eye color to match Bradley's.
Worst case is that Simon is some kind of clone, an artificially created human using Bradley's and Morris's DNA, or a de-aged version of the guy we saw in the photo on Ch 3 Page 12.
*END WILD MASS GUESSING MODE*
One thing is for certain though, no matter what happened, the next bit of story will definitely be heart wrenching. I think the young superhero with the "happiest" origin story is Serge - unless the reason why we haven't seen his parents beyond a crayon drawing is especially tragic. (Ugh. I made myself a little sad there.)
Sounds pretty likely, but one small flaw in your theory about Simon. Simon's hair is white, while Bradley's is blonde, and while they both have roughly the same eye color, brown is pretty common in general. And the person in the picture with his mom, was probably his dad, I believe at some point early on they mentioned Bradley wasn't Simon's real father.
So most likely the explosion only transferred Bradley's powers in some way.
(thank god there's all this theorizing going on here rn)(i'm no longer alone!) I'm actually going to suggest that maybe bradley voluntarily gave his powers to simon? As in, he saw what Simon's and Maria's (that's her name!! awesome~) vulnerability plus relation to him had led to, so he decided that maybe he couldn't lose someone else? I think anyway, and with that he decided to give simon a method to defend himself when he wasn't around.
EDIT: okay so i tried to zoom in again and now I'm not 100% sure it's maria but maybe Marcia/Marci?
and as for the hair similarity, the creators said at one point that simon's hair is brown but he bleaches it, and as for the eyes, well, they seem pretty identical to his mom's
Wild Mass Guessing? Okay then, I don't see a reason not to join in.
According to the article, if you will willingly strain your eyes to read it, it says that Bradley was married to the Marci Morris. I believe that this is true, and... it has just been confirmed that Marci's Simon's Mother. However, due to the fact that Bradley's not Simon's "real dad", I am going to have to say that Bradley is Simon's stepdad.
As for Simon's powers, I believe that Simon getting them is either the RESULT or the CAUSE of the explosion. (Result meaning that Simon got the powers due to "whacky" things causing the explosion, while Cause means that Simon accidentally caused the explosion when he first used his powers without control).
And now for the teaser "that was the last time someone figured out his identity". Simon WASN'T the one who figured out that Bradley was Everywhere. Instead, Marci was, and Simon's connection to Bradley was purely that of a step-son and step-parent. Until a small, usually reliable, experiment with Everywhere's Teleportation Powers to figure out the science behind them somehow resulted in an explosion due to Simon entering the room at the wrong moment.
